I'm here to share with you some remarkable exercises to jump higher. Being able to reach new heights is an important aspect of being a good athlete, especially in basketball. Not only will it give you a huge advantage at dunking the ball, but there are many other advantages such as rebounding, defense and overall shooting. When you see the professionals in the NBA, we assume that they were built that way and it is in their genetics. For some, that is true, but for a lot they had to work with a specialized trainer everyday to get where they are. Your ability to reach new heights will come from your determination to apply the exercises to jump higher, that I'm about to show you.

One of the most obvious exercises is any form of strength training. Power is obviously going to push you off the ground, so focus on the calf raises that will give you power. But power alone won't achieve it. You have to be explosive, which doesn't come from strength training. That's why I suggest to people to do the pushes of their calf exercises explosively to simulate a real jump.

As for keeping your muscles springy, you need something that targets that. Out of all the exercises to jump higher I've found that walking around on the tips of your toes for around 30 minutes has an amazing benefit. It keeps you in that half jump position and keeps those muscles springy. That way you can rapidly fly off the ground.
