I'm going to show you exactly what you're going to need to do to achieve this.The first method is really quite simple. All you have to do is walk around on the tips of your toes for 30 minutes each day. It seems like a very odd exercise, but it has a really amazing benefit. It makes your calf muscles extremely strong doing it this way. You can also try walking backwards on the tips of your toes, just for a few minutes. It also has a very big impact on your jumping abilities. Another great method to jump higher is doing weight calf exercises twice a week. I say twice a week because a lot of people go overboard on parts of their bodies and end up causing more damage than good. By doing weight workouts on your calves, you're going to make them stronger. I suggest doing standing calf raises, since they work best to target them. I also think the way you do each repetition is important too. That's why I suggest you be explosive when you push off in these exercises. This will simulate more what is required on a basketball court. |
