There are typically two reasons why people end up with this problem. It is either physical or psychological. Physical is the less likely of the two. This typically happens from some sort of dental work where the teeth aren't properly fitted to meet up with other teeth. Obviously, you'll get some sort of friction in this case. Most dentists do a good job though. The psychological aspect really has to do with stress and anxiety. These two things will leave you doing involuntary things while you sleep because they sort of consume your mind.
