How to Be A Ballet Star

Ballet is probably one of the toughest styles of dancing out there. It isn't like a regular dance though. Typically dance can be learned within a year, but this requires literally a lifetime of practice and that is to just get good. There are a lot of little girls out there that dream of someday become great and most will probably quit. There are some that will stick with it as they get older and it's when you actually get older that things really begin to take shape. If you're on top of things you probably won't get anywhere with the dance. This is why I'm going to show you how to be a ballet star because you can achieve it, if you want it bad enough.

The characteristics of a someone that is great at ballet is one that has flexibility and one that has strength. When it comes to our bodies, these two particular things are actually complete opposites. When you gain strength, you lose flexibility and vice versa. You have the hard job of finding that balance between to the two. That's why I always suggest to dancers that they should put equal amount of times into strength training and flexibility training.

If you want to be a true ballet star, than you really need to practice, practice and practice some more. Being in a studio with your instructor is great, but if you're not putting in extra time at home, you're not going to get anywhere. It is essential that you practice in front of a mirror though. Studios are made up of mirrors because you need to see what you're doing. You'll need a big mirror of some sort in your home for practicing.
